Vocational Training Coordinator
Dianne brings a passion for the Word to be more than merely “knowing the Word,” but actually learning to apply it “from the heart.”
Following retirement my plans were to volunteer wherever the Lord sent me. I prayed and God answered quickly directing me to TCPNW. After volunteering at TC a short while, the opportunity arose to work at the Missoula Campus. I believe God has placed me here. There's no other explanation for the peace, contentment and joy I experience working with these women in the midst of challenge and my own spiritual and educational development.. What a blessing and privilege to be a part of this ministry. Jer. 29;11-14
Hi,my name is Lavonne, Program Coordinator for the Missoula Campus. I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and am a Teen Challenge Alumni. I was delivered from a life style of prostitution and crack cocaine. My drug dealer brought me into the doors of Teen Challenge of the Ozarks and my life was changed. I have been part of Teen Challenge for 20 years off and on. And, because I have been forgiven much the Lord has poured much love and compassion into my heart for these women. I have been called to minister that compassion to the broken women of the Missoula Campus. This is not a job; it is a ministry that I love.
I entered the Teen Challenge Program in 2011. I had just spent three years in prison for crimes associated with doctor shopping. In 2012 I completed my twelve months in the program. During that time God completely restored my life. After leaving the program I had the opportunity to work for year at a Christian Transitional Sober Living House. I left the house and I decided to pursue continued education. I completed my first year at the University of Montana in addiction studies. I have another year to go to receive my AA Degree. I have just recently been added to the Teen Challenge Team as Ministry Staff. I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to minister to women struggling with many of the same life altering addictions and obstacles as I myself have faced. God opened the door for me to have the opportunity to give back. It has been a privilege and honor to work with the Staff and Students at the Teen Challenge Center.
