I was born in Sacramento, California but grew up in the small town of Crescent City. Starting at the age of 17, I started experimenting with drugs. By 19 years old, my drug of choice was methadone. I struggled with with this addiction for the next 11 years...

Drugs that have been prescribed by doctors have quickly become one of the drugs of choice for many of the people entering Teen Challenge centers.

“To proclaim the year of the Lords favor, and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.”    Isaiah 61:2-3

One of our Tri-Cities Women's Jail Outreach students said this about Christie* who has been locked up with her the past month:

"You know, Christie has really changed from the person I knew. She's calmer and gets along better than before. When we get all worried, she just tells us which verses from the Bible will help. She is confident now, and I know that when she leaves for prison soon, she will be ok."

“Teen Challenge introduced me into a life with my Father.  A life not lived perfectly but a life that continues to call upon Him, and when I have failed 1000 times He carries me through the pain and helps me move forward.”

Dianne Sundby

My name is Dianne. I came to Hannah’s House in 2011 completely broken and desperately wanting to be loved. This is my story of what God has done in my life through the Teen Challenge program, and what He is continuing to do after…

The following is a recent release by CADCA, startling new statistics about children and drinking.

Tandra

Hello, my name is Tandra. Before I came to Teen Challenge my life was a complete disaster. I started using meth when I was 17 years old, right after my son Keiler was born. Once I started I just couldn’t stop. I loved this drug and what it did for me. It gave me confidence that I never had before. It made me lose weight fast when I have struggled with weight my entire life. It gave me energy to keep up with my son and then some. I was invincible. I could do anything and everything! But…it also destroyed mine and my family’s life.

Elsa

My family prayed for me for 15 years to go to Teen Challenge. I remember Teen Challenge coming to our church many times! In 2007 I finally entered the program and I graduated in 2008! When I arrived at TC, I felt like I had come home. I had a peace that surpassed all understanding. Jesus Christ restored my life from the pit of hell. I had suffered from meth addiction for 15 years. I had a broken life and family.
