Thomas Molina

Thomas was born and raised in New Jersey. He came from a broken home that was destroyed by drug and alcohol abuse. It was there that he got his first glimpse of the destructive power of addiction. Unfortunately for him, at the age of 12 he began to experiment with marijuana and alcohol, by the age of 17 he was a full blown crack addict.

To escape from his environment in July of 1995 he left New Jersey and moved to Puerto Rico to live with his praying grandmother in an attempt to start life anew, sadly he could not break free from his bondage to crack and his situation only grew worse.

On July 11th, 1999 his grandmother’s prayers were answered and he walked into the Arecibo, Puerto Rico Teen Challenge Men’s Center! It was on July 20, 1999 that he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and he was born-again! He soon realized that he wanted to remain in the will of God for his life and requested a transfer stateside into the Teen Challenge Rehrersburg Training Center. God granted his request.

After completing the program in August 2000 he knew that he was called to serve in full-time ministry. His next step was to enter the Teen Challenge Ministry Institute located in South Gate, California. It was there that he was further prepared spiritually and academically to work for God in Teen Challenge. He graduated TCMI on December 22, 2001. He was honored to be selected by his peers as the student “Most Christ-like” and had the privilege of speaking on behalf of his class at their graduation ceremony.

He was blessed when he was asked to remain in South Gate, to become the Development Coordinator for the Teen Challenge Ministry Institute. Thomas remained at TCMI over the next 2 years and then moved on to become the Program Director at the Seattle Metro Teen Challenge Men’s Center in December 2003.

In Seattle he completed the remaining necessary courses to become a Credentialed Minister with the Assemblies of God. He served 4 years as the Program Coordinator, and then in August 2007 he became the Executive Director. In February of 2010 he resigned from Teen Challenge and faithfully served the homeless in a downtown Seattle Mission for over 4 years. Thomas has now returned to his first love, Teen Challenge and is honored to once again serve as the Executive Director! He is now credentialed with Churches in Covenant as a Licensed Minister.

Serving God was and is the best decision he has ever made for his life! Since giving his heart to Christ he has been blessed over and over again. He realizes that the God we serve does the impossible every day. His life and testimony are an example of that!

Thomas knows firsthand the transformation power of Jesus Christ! He always preaches, “Who better to tell a crack addict there is hope in Jesus Christ? Than a Pastor that has been that crack addict and by God’s grace and mercy is now standing before you! Delivered!! Free!!!  Because whomever the Son sets free is free indeed! I was that addict a slave to cocaine. Now I’m a bondservant, a slave to the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, to the One who died for my sins! Freely I serve the One who served, died and rose from the dead for all mankind! So we can have everlasting life in Him!

Thomas married his beautiful partner in ministry, Claudia in June of 2007 and they now have two beautiful gifts from God, Elizabeth and Isaiah. God is good!
