Vocational Training Coordinator
Being a graduate, I understand the importance of work in the lives of the men in our program and I am blessed to be able to participate in the scheduling and implementation of the Vocational Training aspect. I have been fortunate to see a number of men graduate and go on to be productive members of society in whatever field they have chosen. I am very blessed to see Jesus make a complete restoration in the lives of the men. Amen!
Ever since I gave my life to Christ I’ve wanted to serve him. From the age of 17 I have been involved in many types of ministry and felt called into full-time ministry. After high school I went to Kingswood University where I received my B.A. in Religion. I've worked at a few different churches as an intern and an assistant pastor, and I've known about Teen Challenge for a long time and had great respect for the ministry. In the summer of 2013, I accepted a position here in Seattle, and I love pouring into the lives of the men. I get to see chains broken and commitments made that radically change the course of the men’s lives. I love serving God through the ministry of Teen Challenge.
At 42 years of age, I do not know where my life went. It feels like I just started to live my life seven years ago when I surrendered my life to Jesus. I had no hope for the future. I did not know the real purpose of life. I felt lost, rejected, and alone in a world full of hate and evil. God is Awesome! Now I have purpose and I know the meaning of life. I now live with the hope of the glory that will be revealed to me the day I see my Lord face to face. God is Awesome! I am truly free. Seven years ago I was chained to drug addictions and to the ways of the world but now I have been transformed by Grace and the renewing of my mind. I now serve the Lord at Pacific Northwest Adult and Teen Challenge where God is using my past failures for his glory. In 2010 I graduated from the Spokane Campus, and then I enrolled in the Teen Challenge Ministry Institute. There I learned and developed leadership skills to be employed by Adult & Teen Challenge. I graduated from TCMI in 2011, and six months after I completed my internship, I was hired by the Pasco Campus. On March 2012 I was promoted to become the thrift store manager for Pasco. Now, after 3 years, I have been promoted to become the program coordinator at the Seattle Metro Campus. God is Awesome!
