Putting Hope Within Reach

The Need is Great

“Alaskans should take note. The month-by-month drumbeat of murders, injuries, vehicle crashes, hypothermia deaths and drownings triggered by people overcome with drink is a familiar dirge across the state, so common that most news stories about the week’s current casualties become news briefs. Alcohol abuse fuels our homegrown epidemic of domestic violence and sexual assault and also contributes to the state’s high rate suicide, according to state health officials and police. Alcohol induced deaths … is three times the national average in Alaska.” — Alaska Dispatch

Our Program at a Glance

PROGRAM LENGTH

Our Mens and Womens programs are 12 month residential programs. We understand that this is a significant commitment and investment, and we have seen the positive results.

CURRICULUM

Our 12 month, Bible based program allows us to present numerous topics that expose, challenge, and direct men and women out of their addictions and into their recovery, while earning a certificate of graduation.

PROGRAM COST

An application fee of $500 is required at the time of admission to the program. Students earn approximately half of their tuition by working at TC Resale thrift stores during their program. We are able to make some accommodations depending on need.

NOT COED

Our Mens’ and Womens’ campuses do not share facilities nor geographic proximity. We are committed to protecting our students’ spiritual progress.

NOT A MEDICAL FACILITY

Admission to the program requires that the student be fully detoxed before arriving. We do not currently have the capacity for medical care. If there are ongoing medical issues, please discuss with an intake coordinator.

FREEDOM FROM BONDAGE

Adult & Teen Challenge focuses on establishing and/or restoring a student’s relationship with Jesus Christ, in order that the student break the chains of bondage from addiction to drugs, alcohol, or from other life-controlling issues.

BASIC PROGRAM RULES

Our students take their recovery seriously. Some things that are not allowed in our program are tobacco use, cell phones, and secular music, and electronic devices.
