Thank you for remaining so faithful to the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge in 2020. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Tri-Cities Campus family to yours!
A message from our Campus Director
Dear Friend,
Thank you for remaining so faithful to the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge. Scripture speaks of a promise in the time of a desolate season; “Enlarge the place
of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.” (Isaiah 54:2) As addiction rates continue to soar through this challenging year, we have been working hard to expand our campus and increase capacity to help more men like Jose.
Jose has never been sober more than 2 month at a time since the age of 12 years old. Alcoholism really had him entangled and enslaved in addiction. He lost everything including his house and family and the collateral damage was his two daughters losing their father to alcohol. They desperately needed their dad and Jose desperately needed to be delivered and restored to health.
Jose came to us 6 months ago, a non-believer without hope. Today he stands in freedom with the power of the Holy Spirit and a relationship with Jesus that he has never known until now. He shared with us that we were the only recovery program that could accept him at the time and he knew the imminent consequences if he didn’t get that help now. We were overjoyed to be the place where Jose could seek refuge and begin his relationship with the Lord. The restoration with his family has begun and he has hope for a bright future. He came into my office last week and said that he wants to be in ministry and become a Pastor when he graduates our program. This is the reason we are enlarging our tents and stretching our curtains, to reach more for God and to be the safe place for Him to touch the hearts of more men in our region.
There are so many in our community who need to know this same love of God. Because of the support you have already provided, we have been able to serve over 600 men, women and adolescence through our residential programs in 2020. Our campus has set a year end fundraising goal of $50,000. As you consider end of year giving, I am asking you to put your strongest gift towards our goal. Your provision ensures that we are able to start 2021 strong and continue serving the men of our community just like Jose, who need a safe place to experience Jesus. Every penny counts as we finish this year of trials with absolute faith and hope in our glorious Lord and Savior.
Again, thank you for your continued faithfulness in Helping us Put Hope Within Reach!
Christmas Blessings,
Jesse Campos
