Merry Christmas from Tri-Cities!

Help us Put Hope Within Reach

Thank You

Thank you for remaining so faithful to the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge in 2020. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Tri-Cities Women’s Jail Outreach family to yours!

A message from our Campus Director

Dear Friend,

Thank you for remaining so faithful to the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge. Your faithfulness has allowed over 950 women to find the Hope that comes only through a life lived in Jesus Christ during this challenging year; and there are so many more in the Pacific Northwest who are desperate to know God’s love.

In just the first three months of this year, we were able to hold 61 Bible study sessions in our local jails before they were closed to the public in March. Then the miracles began happening! Through phone calls and letters from the jails and even emails from our prisons, women began reaching out to us for encouragement and hope. They requested Bibles and other faith filled literature which we were able to help supply the jail libraries. We sent over 2400 copies of A Door of Hope discipleship newsletters and created the new Lockout Letter, especially designed for our jails.

Then, more miracles followed as we began having “divine appointments” with women in the community. “Julia” saw me behind my mask and told her coworkers “I did my very first Bible study in jail with Kathy and Sylvia and Jesus has changed my life!”

We saw “Misti” while shopping and she said, “I can’t thank you women enough for showing me how to believe in God and read my Bible. I have a job now and even steady transportation. No more jail!” After being homeless and “in the life” for years, “Gloria” is living in her new home that even has a special prayer room for her times of worship. We prayed with her over two years ago on the street and since then, growing strong through reading her Bible, she has had a totally transformed life.

Our outreach ministry has set a year end fundraising goal of $3,000 to help us with mailing, literature, newsletters and training for our newest volunteers. We also want to be ready when the doors of the jails reopen. As you consider end of year giving, I am asking you to put your strongest gift towards our goal. Your provision ensures that
we are able to start 2021 strong and continue serving the women of our community like Julia, Misti and Gloria, who need to have a safe place to experience Jesus and the tools to lead a transformed life. Every penny counts as we finish this year of trials with absolute faith and hope in our glorious Lord and Savior.

Christmas Blessings,

Kathy Rither
